I had animal duty this week.
And the pigs were happy,

the cows out to pasture
The chickens, Rhode Island Reds, keep sleeping next to the electric fence...and are moved back 2 by 2

the cows out to pasture
to the chicken tractors...
to have a good nights sleep.

On another note we had a composting toilet workshop. I learned extensive information about the benefits of urine for crops. if we all saved our urine farmers would probably not have to put nitrogen on their fields, they could just use our urine...an interesting concept...I have not yet taken on this challenge...maybe next year:)

Our peas are coming up in abundance!

I learned to drive a tractor!

Oh Kate
Ben and Jerry's ice cream - you must be in heaven! I must say the pigs are still my favorites. I can't wait to meet them! Love you

So...why do the hens want to sleep next to the electric fence? Seems a little odd.
We had mixed green salad for 14 in snack yesterday. All grown in the greenhouse. It's not urine composting but it's a step...
