The first calf of the season was born, Luna. Her white eyelashes and blue eyes make this wee calf a bit of a moonbeam. Saturday morning...after harvest and before the CSA members arrived Don walked us up the hill to see the new life on the farm. Unlike beef cows of the past, Luna is gentle. Letting you come close and pet her, wiping flies from her eyes. She is a reminder of life.
My Children's garden, is growing.
