Here and well
After getting lost twice on my very basic journey north. I have arrived safely, to a bowl of warm chillie, fresh cornbread and zucchini chocolate cake. My home is set up and snug and we have already successfully moved the outhouse over a new hole...I have conquered my pride a bit by putting on a back brace to assist in this endeavor and am now in our snug space of comfort with the pelt stove going. I have come to a beautiful place nestled inbetween two mountain ranges. The apprentices...a couple, melissa and geoff are in one cabin and I share mine with Monica, who worked at the Food Project in Boston for 4 years and wants to start something similar in MD...Life is funny. So tonight I sleep under warm blankets, I think this may be a quiet space for me...I already feel my being slowing down, and I saw the last light of the sun sinking behind the mountains. Tomorrow we work. Goodnight.

Chris and I had chili and cornbread for dinner tonight too! And we were thinking about you, but not knowing we were eating the same meal. And you and Chris will both be starting your new adventures tomorrow! Glad you're there safe and good job with the back brace. We love you!

Life can't be sweeter...chili, cornbread, chocolate zucchini cake and a new hole for the outhouse!!!! Sounds like there may be quite a bit of fiber in your diet - let's see how many more times a new hole will have to be dug! Is the pelt stove in your cabin or in the barn? I thought of you several times during the night as my consciousness became active, and my thoughts were of a warm bed and a firm mattress for you. I'll be thinking of you throughout this day, and during the rest of this week...thanks for the cheerful update.
